People in transition.
Transitional housing and resources for homeless of Lapeer.
If all goes according to the plans of Dennis and NaomiRocheleau there may be a new homeless facility somewhere in Lapeer at an undisclosed future time.
The plan was presented in a limited manner at a semi-public gathering of guests at the New Beginnings Family Church on Friday evening, May 8, 2015.
According to the limited amount of information shared, there will be 3 or more monolithic domes of approximately 200  400 diameter, capable of housing up to 400 peopleeach. According to the presentation, the facility will includework centers for the guests, administrative offices, clinic, kitchen, daycare, and cafeteria area serving as church, and meeting place.
During the verbal presentation there was mention of on-site food growing facilities and product development/manufacturing.
It claims that, the vision  provides more permanent solutions for many problematic issues faced by our society today and is not limited to the homeless
It also states that, “Business ideas and innovative productlines originate from within sustaining operation of the vision while building and supporting the community, as broken lives are established and made productive complementing society.

Commentary:
Homelessness is a systemic problem. The problem isnt that our civilization does not have enough homes  it is that people are not allowed habitation.
Through a process of socializing regulations, a few people with good intentions have made it impossible for others tofind low cost shelter. For example, rental codes dictate minimum sizes for units that preclude any innovation.Government subsidized rent causes the low-end property owner to be able to charge more than homeless can afford to pay.
Perceptions are wrong about the homeless. Most homeless people are not evil people, but some evil people are homeless. We need to house the homeless to isolate the evil, then fix the evil.
Christian based organization address the personal problems associated with homelessness, but some homeless people are antagonistic to these efforts so there is little the Christian can do to help. With the diversity of our culturewe are having more types of belief systems that are in direct opposition to Christian efforts such as Islam, Athesim and Wicca.

Conclusion:
That which government has caused, let governmentresolve, but never by creating new laws  only by repealing constrictive laws. Let not government dump their problems on Christian organizations.

What do you think?
